Reflective Journal Entries

Here are three examples of journal entries I have submitted based on ATLAS videos I have watched this semester. ATLAS is a website used to do remote classroom observations, which has proven to be very interesting, helpful, and educational.

4th Analysis and Reflection

I chose to include this journal entry because I like how the teacher from this video had a different teaching approach than most of the other videos I watched this semester. This teacher assessed student knowledge by pretending she didn't know the answers herself in order to give the students the opportunity to explain it to her.

7th Analysis and Reflection

I chose to include this journal entry because it shows an example of a special education classroom, and the differences in the types of lessons that are necessary. 

10th Analysis and Reflection

I chose to include this journal entry because it is an example of an older, more mature classroom where they have the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics they discuss. This classroom is a good example of students having their own critical thinking skills, and teachers allowing students to use them without trying to sway them.
