About Me
Hello, my name is Marissa Anderson! I go to Chico State University and am working towards a major in Liberal Studies and a minor in Spanish. I am currently finishing up my sophomore year of college while maintaining a GPA. I am dedicated to excellence as a student and as a future teacher. I'm an only child, but I do have a golden retriever dog! Another fun fact about me is that I am a student-athlete here at Chico State, I am on the Softball team.
Professional development
I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth. So far, I haven't had the opportunity to work in a classroom, but I am excited for that chance. I truly believe that the teaching courses here at Chico State have well prepared me to work in a classroom.

I chose this as my teaching metaphor because I believe it accurately conveys how much influence a teacher can have over their students. It is a great responsibility to have, and it is important to use it wisely. It is a teacher's job to guide students on the right path to make their own choices and perform their own critical thinking.
